Lothian Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority that was established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.
What we do
Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for East Lothian, the City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian Councils in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Registers of Electors.

To provide high quality, effective and responsive services to all of our stakeholders.
Who are we looking for?
You will assist the Joint Board’s Valuation Team in the administration and undertaking of inspections of lands and heritages within the Board’s geographical area for the purposes of the Lands Valuation Acts and the Local Government Finance Act 1992. You will also be expected to assist with administration of the Electoral Register at periods of peak activity.
You should have experience in using a range of software packages for word processing, spreadsheets and databases. It is also essential that you are a self-motivated individual with excellent time management skills and are able to work well as part of a team.
