Aims, Mission Statement, Corporate & Service Plan
The Plans are approved annually by The Board and reviewed as appropriate by senior managers and internal/external audit.
Customer Care & Complaints Procedure
All staff have been trained in customer care and are knowledgeable of the complaints procedure.
Equalities Policy and Annual Reports
We aim to treat everyone fairly and provide open access to our services. Please advise us if we can be of further assistance.
Freedom of Information
We aim to be open and transparent in carrying out our duties, however much of the information is exempt.
Corporate Governance, Financial Regulations, Standing Orders
We comply with various sets of rules and regulations which are regularly reviewed, approved and audited.
Model Publication Scheme / Guide to Information
To ensure consistency, we liaise with the Scottish Assessors' Association to produce a uniform publication scheme.
Staff Structure
To meet Best Value, the structure was reviewed by an external consultant in 2004 and has recently been updated.
The Lothian Valuation Joint Board
We report to a board of Councillors appointed by constituent councils to oversee our services and approve reports & budget.
