Lothian Valuation Joint Board can provide excellent facilities for training, conferences or meetings in bright, modern surroundings. Situated in the west of Edinburgh at South Gyle, the offices are easily acessible from road and rail links. Edinburgh Airport is less than 15 minutes drive away.
We have two purpose-built rooms, Pentland and Salisbury. These can be set up in various formats, depending on your requirements. Meeting facilities and a wide range of IT and AV equipment are available for use. Both rooms are air conditioned and have natural light.
Our premises are fully wheelchair accessible and all facilities are conveniently located on the ground floor. Catering can be provided if required. Please check the facilities page for more detailed information.

We have two rooms available, both furnished to a high, modern standard. All areas are naturally lit and benefit from air conditioning and natural ventilation.
Pentland (55m²) is the smaller of our rooms and is ideal for groups of up to 40 people when laid out in Theatre style. Tables can be provided if a Boardroom style is preferred and this can comfortably accommodate 20 people. Alternative room layouts can be accommodated on request.

Salisbury (130m²) is larger and can comfortably hold about 70 or 80 people when set up in Theatre style. This space is more versatile and can be laid out in a variety of formats with screened breakout zones. Salisbury is also large enough to host promotional events, where display stands and advertising material can be erected.


Audio Visual equipment is supplied, including ceiling-mounted & free-standing projectors. Projection screens are available in both rooms. We have an interactive electronic whiteboard which is ideal for presentation and training purposes. Flip charts and writing materials are provided and high-speed Internet access can be arranged.
Both Pentland and Salisbury have their own Network infrastructure, with up to 30 data connections available for use. Laptops can be supplied for presentation purposes which can be connected to a projector or whiteboard if required. The laptop runs Windows XP and has Microsoft Office installed, which should be capable of opening most Word Processing files and slideshow (Powerpoint) presentations.

Our Office is located in the west of Edinburgh at South Gyle and is easily accessible by bus and train.
From the City Centre – Head west along Dalry Road and Gorgie Road then continue straight along Calder Road. At Sighthill Roundabout, take the third exit onto Broomhouse Road. Take the first exit onto Bankhead Drive. Turn right at the traffic lights onto South Gyle Access. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto South Gyle Crescent. The office is located on the left hand side.
From Gogar – Gogar Roundabout can be reached via the City Bypass [A720] or Glasgow Road [A8]. At the roundabout, follow the signs for South Gyle/Gyle Centre, along South Gyle Broadway. Go straight over the first Roundabout at the Gyle Centre and take the Second exit [turn right] at the next roundabout onto South Gyle Crescent. Follow the road around for approximately half a mile and the office is located on the right.
By Bus – Bus Numbers 2, 18, 22 & 35 run along South Gyle Crescent at regular intervals.

By Rail – The South Gyle area is served by two train stations, both of which are in easy walking distance. The new Edinburgh Park station serves trains travelling between central Edinburgh and the west and central Scotland, and is less than 15 minutes from our location. South Gyle railway station is a little further away and serves routes between Edinburgh and Fife. Timetables can be viewed at www.firstgroup.com/scotrail
By Air – With Edinburgh Airport lying to the west of the City, we are ideally located for those required to fly. We are a simple, short taxi or bus journey away.

The cost per delegate is set at £25 per day.
This daily delegate rate includes :-
The use of the room, laid out in required format
IT and AV facilties including laptop, projector, interactive whiteboard, TV and Video as required
Networking capability
Flip charts, wall mounted whiteboards, pens and paper
Tea / coffee and refreshments
Lunchtime Sandwich Buffet with fruit and juice (alternative lunch requirements can also be catered for)
